The memorial to Lt. General James Longstreet was dedicated on July 3, 1998 at the Gettysburg National Battlefield. This bronze memorial was sculpted by Gary Casteel, and made possible by the efforts of Robert C. Thomas, Chairman of the Longstreet Memorial Fund. The memorial is located in the Pitzer Woods on West Confederate Avenue.

"He is gone, but not forgotten

We remember him, in his glory days.

He is gone but not forgotten

That's why we came, to sing his praise.
